The playlist log file format is a non-delimited ASC file named with the date of
the schedule and the extension ASC (yymmdd.ASC; ex: 961216.ASC). The file
contents are as follows:
Columns 1- 8 Military Air-Time hh:mm:ss
Columns 9- 16 Cart Number ssnnnncc
(ss= 2 char Music Source;
nnnn= 4 char Source Number;
cc= 2 char Cut number)
We would suggest using different source numbers with events and music (maybe JI
for Jingles, ID for Id, MU for Music, etc.
In addition to supporting Music and Program Events, it supports voice tracking.
To use voice tracks…
1) Create an event with a source of VO or TO or J_
(Voice-Over; Talk-Over, Jock [ _ may be any character] )
2) Add the Voice-track Event in format clocks where you want intros, outros, any
voice work.
MusicMix will assign a number to each voice track as it generates the schedule.
The number will consist of the first two characters of the day of the week for
the playlist (MO, TU, WE etc.) and the air-time in military format. (i.e. SU1321
for 1:21 PM on Sunday). This enables you to record voice tracks up to a week in
advance. If you’d like to record up to a month in advance, set "Use Day of Month
Voice Track Categories" to Y (for Yes) in Utilities/System Parameters and the
number becomes the day-of-month and the air-time (i.e. 090121 for 1:21 AM on the
ninth of the month).
To use the wire ready format start MusicMix with the /logWIRE switch (MM /logWIRE).
You need do this only once… MusicMix will remember it thereafter.
